Algebra 2 Books

I have gotten a lot of emails so far tonight about the Algebra 2 books.
First off, if you already lost your paper and need another one, I have uploaded all of the sheets onto the Alegbra 2 page on website. Looking carefully through the rubric and the handout should alleviate some of your questions.

The big question that I wanted to address was the question of topic. A lot of you are worried that you are not going to pick a good topic, or are having trouble deciding which one. Well, here is where I would start: Sit quietly for a moment and think about what the most fun/interesting chapter we did in class. What clicked the most with you? Because, if you liked learning it, it will be much easier for you to make a book. And, your book will be more interesting to read. Then, once you have your topic you can list out what each page is going to look like (the same way you make an outline before you write an essay). That way, you can make sure you will have enough pages and information.

I can't wait to read them. And, feel free to start a discussion forum on this too. Your classmates have good ideas too!

Derivative Rules

Hey guys! I know these rules are in your book. And, I know that you should have your book at all times. But... We both know they everyone is human. So, I decided to post all of the derivative rules in a safe and easy place to find them. And, these are the ones I will ever ask you to use, so you won't have to wade through another list of rules. So, that's that. I mentioned in it class, but it is also very useful to write these out on a note card... just in case I decide to let you use a note card on your test.

I know... It's taking a little while to load. But, it's worth it!

Welcome Math Students

Hello!
Welcome to one of my math classes. I am excited for this year to begin. I am positive we both will be challenged in new ways.
There are a couple things I want you to do. If you haven't already, I want you to register for the Ning account. There will be a link to that in your email. If you need help, my Ning help site can help you with that. Also, please explore the helpful links posted on the home page. Familiarize yourself with the information that will help you succeed in this class. And, check out the rest of the home page while you are at it. No, I am not conceited enough to give you a quiz on my own website, but knowing how to use it will be beneficial. If you have any questions about the site feel free to start your own discussion forum on the ning site.
Good luck with this year!
